Course Lecturer – Leadership in Action (Graduate Level)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Course Lecturer to deliver the graduate‑level course “Leadership in Action” (EDEM 610‑025) for the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University. The course runs online in the Fall 2026 term, carries three credits, and meets on Tuesdays from 5:35 pm to 8:25 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver weekly online sessions that teach reflective practice and leadership theory in educational settings.
• Facilitate student engagement, discussions, and collaborative problem‑solving using digital platforms.
• Assess assignments, provide feedback, and grade according to university standards.
• Collaborate with the DISE teaching team and attend coordination meetings at least two weeks before the course start date.
• Integrate equity, diversity and inclusion principles into course content and pedagogy.

Required profile

• Master‑level educator with an MA in educational leadership, school administration, or a closely related field; a PhD is an asset.
• Extensive experience as a school administrator or institutional leader within the Quebec education system.
• Proven record of teaching graduate‑level courses on similar topics.
• Commitment to teamwork and to meeting planning deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with myCourses and Zoom for delivering high‑quality online instruction.
• Familiarity with a variety of digital teaching and learning tools.
