Course Lecturer – Instruction in Inclusive Schools (Summer 2026)

About the role

McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer to deliver the summer 2026 offering of EDPI 341 – Instruction in Inclusive Schools. The position is a short‑term, asynchronous online teaching role that supports pre‑service teachers in developing inclusive instructional practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and assess course content covering curriculum adaptation for diverse learners.
• Facilitate online discussions and provide feedback to students throughout the June 22 – July 10, 2026 session.
• Collaborate with the Office of First Nations and Inuit Education and the partner school board to ensure cultural relevance.
• Adapt instructional materials to reflect current advances in inclusive education and Indigenous pedagogies.
• Participate in course coordination and planning activities prior to the start of the term.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) in education or a related field.
• Expert knowledge of inclusive education, the Quebec Education Program, and the 13 professional competencies defined by the Ministère de l’Éducation.
• Demonstrated understanding of the impact of colonialism on Indigenous communities and experience integrating equity‑focused pedagogies.
• Prior teaching or consulting experience within a Quebec elementary school system or Indigenous community.
• Experience developing curriculum grounded in Indigenous knowledge.
