Controller – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Controller to lead financial operations for our manufacturing division in Saint John. The role provides strategic financial leadership, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and deliver timely financial statements.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate audit activities and act as primary contact for internal and external auditors.
• Provide actionable financial analysis to support operational performance and strategic initiatives.
• Drive finance transformation through automation, data analytics and AI integration.
• Lead, coach and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• CPA designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA) required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Strong background in cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Experience supporting plant, facility or mill operations is a strong asset.
• Proven leadership and people‑management abilities.
