Construction Superintendent – Large‑Scale Projects

About the role

As a Superintendent with Pomerleau Construction, you will lead on‑site teams for large‑scale building and infrastructure projects ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion. You will partner closely with project managers, clients, and trade partners to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the safety champion on all job sites, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage project materials and logistics to support the company’s Quality Program.
• Mentor and guide on‑site crews, fostering collaboration and excellence.
• Coordinate with trade partners and consultants to keep the construction schedule on track.
• Recommend innovative methods to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
• Support project managers during site start‑up and client coordination meetings.
• Receive and verify materials, ensuring adherence to building codes.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory for logistics and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of construction experience.
• Construction‑related certificate, diploma, degree, or equivalent experience.
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects.
• Strong experience in safety regulation compliance, scheduling, quality, and cost control.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on creative solutions.
• Comfortable using computers and scheduling software.
