Construction Site Supervisor

About the role

Bretoba Contracting is looking for an experienced Construction Site Supervisor / Foreman to lead custom residential and light‑commercial builds in Ingonish, Nova Scotia. This full‑time, permanent position offers a hands‑on leadership role, ensuring high‑quality workmanship, safety, and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily on‑site operations from early construction through finishing stages.
• Lead, mentor and motivate crews and trades, assigning tasks and stepping in hands‑on when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, well‑organized job site; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
• Perform continuous quality checks to ensure work aligns with design intent and specifications.
• Coordinate material deliveries, trade sequencing and site logistics.
• Collaborate with project managers on plans, schedules and budgets.
• Communicate professionally with clients, architects, inspectors and internal teams.
• Track daily labour, materials, equipment usage and site activities.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreman on custom residential and light‑commercial projects.
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially during finishing stages.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications and finish details.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a track record of motivating crews.
• Willingness to relocate to the Ingonish area.
