Construction Manager

About the role

ATB is seeking a Construction Manager to join its People Places & Spaces (PP&S) team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Construction, you will act as the primary Owner’s Representative, overseeing the delivery of renovations, refreshes, and new construction projects with a focus on technical precision, safety, and fiscal responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full construction lifecycle from pre‑planning and constructability reviews through tender award, construction execution, deficiency clearance, and turnover.
• Coordinate closely with Project Delivery Managers to ensure alignment with project governance and organizational goals.
• Oversee General Contractors, third‑party vendors (e.g., banking equipment, signage), and designers, enforcing contract terms and maintaining schedules.
• Validate financial progress, control budgets, and ensure high‑quality asset delivery that protects ATB’s long‑term interests.
• Provide technical leadership, constructability insights, and quality‑control oversight to guarantee safe and compliant project outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex construction projects in a corporate or institutional environment.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, safety governance, and financial management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external contractors.
• Commitment to delivering client‑centric spaces that enhance employee and client experiences.
