Construction Foreman – Ottawa

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead the on‑site crew at our multifamily residential project in Ottawa. Working closely with the Site Superintendent, you will ensure that daily construction activities are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the competency of tradespersons, provide training and coaching, and assign crew tasks.
• Coordinate with trade contractors and sub‑contractors to ensure proper sequencing and scheduling.
• Collaborate with the Site Superintendent on field aspects of the project budget, schedule, and productivity.
• Identify, address, and resolve crew issues, maintaining high work standards and morale.
• Enforce compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and building codes.
• Support corrective actions and recommend personnel decisions such as hiring or promotions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in residential wood‑frame, multifamily construction.
• Strong knowledge of building techniques, codes, and safety regulations for multi‑story apartment buildings.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural schematics.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated decision‑making ability and ownership of actions.
• Commitment to performing all work safely and following procedures.
