Fire Alarm Service Manager

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, knowledgeable and customer‑focused Fire Alarm Service Manager to lead our Ottawa service team, drive profitability, growth, safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to service staff through goal setting and regular performance reviews.
• Oversee routine maintenance and inspections of fire & life safety equipment in the field and service shops.
• Manage staffing decisions, vacation approvals and ensure the team has required resources.
• Project‑manage quoted jobs with sales, customer service and administration to meet margins, schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor departmental performance, maintain customer relationships and support other service managers as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in technical/electrical/building automation/life safety services.
• Current or past CFAA certification (asset).
• Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Fire Code and Electrical Code.
• Proven track record in a high‑paced service environment.
• Ability to perform physical field work and extended driving as required.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Understanding of relevant Ontario codes and standards.
• Working knowledge of fire protection sprinkler systems (asset).
• Proficiency with technology and software used for service management.
