Computer Aided Design Technician

About the role

4Sight Utility Engineers is seeking a motivated Computer Aided Design (CADD) Technician to support active utility and civil infrastructure projects. The position is open to candidates in the Greater Toronto Area and can be performed remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and modify project drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Compile test‑hole datasheets, photographs, and other field information for project reports.
• Assist in preparing One‑Call requests, permits, and records research.
• Support the preparation of permits for field operations.
• Follow company CADD standards for layering, sheet layout, and drawing conventions.
• Maintain project schedules and provide progress updates.

Required profile

• College or university training in computer‑aided drafting, or equivalent experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit.
• Strong technical support and troubleshooting abilities for CAD workstations and software.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic system configuration.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to drafting standards.
• Effective communication skills for multidisciplinary team collaboration.
