Communications Coordinator

About the role

The Communications Coordinator will help bring Cineplex stories to life, supporting both internal and external communications that connect employees, audiences, and media to the Cineplex experience. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications & Content, you will work across the business to create content, engage media, and support communication strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor media coverage, respond to inquiries, and build relationships with journalists and industry partners.
• Create press releases, media pitches, employee communications, and social media content tailored to different audiences.
• Support communications campaigns for corporate and consumer initiatives, track performance, and analyze results.
• Develop internal communications initiatives that engage employees and reinforce brand purpose.
• Explore emerging channels, tools, and storytelling formats to connect with audiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organization and assist the broader Communications team as needed.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in communications, PR, or a related role (agency experience is a plus).
• Strong writing and storytelling abilities with the capacity to adapt tone for varied audiences.
• Understanding of media, digital, and influencer landscapes.
• Ability to use data and insights to evaluate communication effectiveness.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluency in English; French is an asset.
