About the role

The Communications Assistant (Schulich Ambassador) represents the Schulich School of Music, helping prospective students, families, and visitors experience campus life. This student‑focused position blends tour guiding, event support, and digital communication to showcase academic programs and student life.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engaging campus tours for prospective students, families, school groups, and community visitors.
• Share personal insights about academic programs, student life, and extracurricular opportunities.
• Assist with recruitment events such as open houses, entrance auditions, orientation sessions, and information meetings.
• Respond to inquiries via email, social media, webinars, and other platforms.
• Edit and review documents, audio/video content, and maintain web pages.
• Create and post content on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Provide graphic design and photo‑editing support, as well as basic A/V equipment operation.
• Collect participant feedback and contribute ideas for program improvement.
• Support administrative tasks including data entry, event registration, and visitor check‑in.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled as a Schulich School of Music student in good academic standing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service abilities.
