Communication Manager – Canada

About the role

Saab Canada Inc. is seeking a Communication Manager to lead and execute its communications strategy across Canada. The role will support business development, government relations and brand positioning while ensuring alignment with global Saab policies. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver consistent, high‑quality messaging.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and update internal and external communications strategy for Saab Canada.
• Ensure alignment with global Saab communications policies, messaging, and branding.
• Create communications content that supports business development and market positioning.
• Support government‑relations activities through messaging, briefing materials, and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead media relations, including press releases, announcements, key messages and media monitoring.
• Coordinate Canadian events, exhibitions, sponsorships and trade‑show activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in strategic communications, media relations, executive communications or stakeholder engagement.
• Strong writing, presentation and digital communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multinational, cross‑functional environment.
• Experience in defence, aerospace, government relations or other highly regulated industries is an advantage.
