Commercial Maintenance Worker

About the role

As a Commercial Maintenance Worker for Amacon, you will maintain a portfolio of commercial properties across the Lower Mainland, handling a variety of repairs, upkeep and tenant interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform plumbing repairs, replacements and installations of faucets, pipes, valves, toilets and bathtubs.
• Carry out electrical work including power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, climate control systems and baseboard heaters.
• Repair drywall, fill holes, patch and sand walls in preparation for painting between tenant turnovers.
• Execute interior painting touch‑ups and full coats as needed.
• Maintain grounds by mowing, weed control, pruning, watering, light‑bulb replacement and leaf removal.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways and driveways, applying rock salt when required.
• Provide courteous customer service to renters and coordinate with contracted vendors.
• Manage scheduling of maintenance requests using mobile devices and computers, prioritising by urgency.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of construction or maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract; ability to drive between sites.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Physical ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lb and perform frequent walking, standing and climbing.
