Cloud and System Administrator

About the role

This hands‑on position is focused on operating and evolving a modern Azure‑based enterprise environment. You will support critical cloud infrastructure, Microsoft 365 services, identity and access systems, and enterprise applications for a distributed organization across Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support for Azure, Microsoft 365, identity systems and end‑user technologies.
• Administer virtual machines, networking, storage, databases and cloud‑native services in Azure.
• Manage identity and access using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access and privileged access controls.
• Monitor health and performance with Azure Monitor, support incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery and business continuity using Azure Backup and Site Recovery.
• Apply cloud security best practices and remediate findings with Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to improve cloud operations and deployments.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of IT/systems administration experience, including at least 5 years with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in Azure infrastructure, networking, identity management, security, monitoring and cost optimisation.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux systems, PowerShell, Azure CLI and automation tools.
• Excellent communication, autonomy and problem‑solving skills in remote or distributed environments.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (or willingness to obtain).
