Civil Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Civil Project Manager with a background in civil construction or engineering to lead complex infrastructure projects, including highways, municipal systems, and heavy civil works. Based in the Fraser Valley, you will oversee planning, coordination, and execution while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute projects, anticipating needs to avoid delays and ensuring deliverables meet contract requirements.
• Develop and monitor resource requirements, coordinate with subcontractors, and manage contracts and material purchases.
• Mentor and lead on‑site operations staff, maintain daily progress reports, and provide safety and quality leadership.
• Monitor construction progress, report to senior management, and address constructability issues with solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager on financial oversight, reviewing cost variances and protecting contract interests.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in civil construction.
• At least 3 years managing projects in a unionized environment.
• Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Technology.
• Valid Canadian driver’s licence with a clean abstract and willingness to travel province‑wide.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of WorkSafeBC health and safety legislation and regulations.
