Category Manager – Beer & Beyond Beer

About the role

Labatt Breweries of Canada is seeking a Category Manager to lead the development of insights, identify growth opportunities, and shape category strategies for its Beer & Beyond Beer portfolio. The role focuses on leveraging data and shopper behavior to drive category performance and enhance retailer partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with regional retailers as a Category advisor for the Beer & Beyond Beer business.
• Develop impactful category analyses and consumer insights using syndicated and non‑syndicated data sources.
• Synthesize shopper, scan, and research data into clear, visually appealing selling stories using PowerPoint.
• Partner with the Sales team to engage retailer buying teams and identify growth opportunities.
• Lead assortment recommendations, create planograms, and monitor category performance, reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• Strong familiarity with syndicated data and analytics tools (IRI, Numerator, LDIA, Dunnhumby, etc.).
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data manipulation and presentation.
• Experience using space‑planning software such as JDA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present insights persuasively.
