Business Development Representative (Outbound)

About the role

Riverside is looking for a Business Development Representative to join its outbound sales team in Canada. The role focuses on generating new business opportunities for Riverside’s AI‑powered content creation platform by engaging prospective customers and setting the stage for the sales process.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify high‑potential leads across target industries.
• Conduct outbound outreach through cold calls, personalized emails and social media.
• Qualify prospects, understand their needs and schedule meaningful conversations for the sales team.
• Craft compelling messaging that highlights Riverside’s AI tools for content creation.
• Maintain accurate records in the CRM and provide regular reporting on outreach activities.
• Collaborate with the Business Development team to refine outreach strategies and share new ideas.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong time‑management and organizational abilities.
• Self‑driven, goal‑oriented mindset with a passion for learning.
• Experience with outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails and social media.
• Ability to quickly build rapport with senior executives.
