Business Development Manager – European Markets

About the role

Gimmick Studio, a Montreal‑based motion design and animation studio, is expanding into Europe and seeks a Business Development Manager to lead that growth. Based in Montreal, you will be the primary point of contact for the UK, Switzerland, Benelux and France, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with agencies, studios and brands.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect advertising agencies, creative studios and direct clients across target European territories.
• Build and maintain a qualified prospect pipeline.
• Present the studio’s portfolio (reel, deck, case studies) with clarity and conviction.
• Attend key industry events and explore partnerships with Europe‑based sales representatives.
• Track opportunities rigorously in CRM tools.
• Collaborate with the creative team to prepare tailored proposals for European clients.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of business development experience, preferably in a creative studio or agency environment.
• Familiarity with European markets, especially the UK, France, Switzerland or Benelux.
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Strong instinct for finding the right contacts and patience to nurture long‑term relationships.
• Self‑driven, organized and comfortable working across time zones.
