About the role
The Buildings Supervisor leads the planning, delivery and operation of SaskEnergy’s corporate facilities across Saskatchewan. This role ensures that all building projects and ongoing maintenance are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with municipal, provincial and federal regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage asset life‑cycle plans to support investment decisions, acquisitions and divestitures.
- Oversee building projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to codes, standards and budgets.
- Conduct needs assessments with senior management and end‑users to define scopes of work, budgets, specifications and schedules.
- Manage day‑to‑day building operations and property maintenance, maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
- Plan interior and exterior space designs, uphold building design standards and maintain facility documentation.
- Coordinate office moves, furniture inventory and resource staffing across multiple locations.
- Administer property leases, ensuring landlord and tenant obligations are met.
- Lead a team of staff and external consultants, aligning activities with corporate strategies and policies.
- Travel throughout the province to inspect service centres, district offices and compressor stations.
Required profile
- Architectural Building and Technology Diploma or equivalent.
- Eligibility for membership with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS).
- Certification as a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) from the International Facility Management Association.
Required skills
- Project and facility management expertise.
- Strong knowledge of municipal, provincial and federal building codes and standards.
- Budgeting and financial oversight capabilities.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage external contractors.
