HVAC & Plumber Technician – Service Division

About the role

Black & McDonald is seeking an experienced HVAC/Plumber Technician to join its Service Division in Regina, SK. The role involves hands‑on service, troubleshooting, and customer interaction on a variety of RTU and HVAC systems.

Key responsibilities

• Work on RTUs and HVAC systems, inspecting components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, fan motors, fans, and expansion valves.
• Perform system checks, troubleshooting, refrigerant recovery, and electrical and gas system diagnostics.
• Maintain daily service logs, refrigerant recovery reports, and other service records.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an HVAC technician with HVAC certification.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
• Physically fit, able to work outdoors in extreme weather and lift heavy equipment.
• Clean Class 5 SK driver’s licence.

• RTU and HVAC system troubleshooting.
• Braising and soldering.
• Refrigerant recovery.
• Electrical and gas system diagnostics.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, mobile applications).
