Breakfast Host – Front‑of‑House Host (Vancouver)

About the role

As a Breakfast Host you will be the first point of contact for guests each morning, creating a warm and welcoming experience from arrival to departure. You will manage reservations, seating and guest flow while upholding Forbes Five‑Star service standards in a vibrant, award‑winning dining venue.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a genuine, personalized welcome.
• Manage reservations, waitlists and seating to ensure smooth, efficient service.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus and maintain awareness of restaurant capacity.
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests and concerns with professionalism.
• Keep the host stand and entrance area clean, organized and inviting.
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen and leadership teams to enhance the guest experience.
• Recognize VIP and repeat guests, ensuring preferences are acknowledged.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a host or guest‑facing role, preferably in a high‑end restaurant or hotel.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm, professional and solution‑oriented under pressure.
• High attention to detail and a passion for guest service.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Serving It Right certification.

Required skills

• Experience with reservation systems such as OpenTable.
