Blow Mold Set Up Technician – Mississauga

About the role

Graham Packaging is seeking a Blow Mold Set Up Technician to join its Mississauga plant. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining blow‑moulding equipment to produce high‑quality packaging solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate one or more blow‑moulding machines according to specifications.
• Change moulds, tooling, and adjust equipment during production line changes.
• Monitor bottle quality and adjust machine settings as required.
• Troubleshoot, perform minor repairs, and carry out preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Follow Bill of Materials (B.O.M.) and lock‑out/tag‑out safety procedures.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, materials, and keep the work area clean.
• Identify and initiate corrective or continuous‑improvement actions.
• Assist production teams and perform general housekeeping as needed.

Required profile

• Secondary school completion plus post‑secondary education in plastics, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of manufacturing experience, including time as a helper, tender, or packer.
• Strong problem‑solving and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Required skills

• Blow‑moulding machine operation and mould change.
• Equipment adjustment and quality monitoring.
• Troubleshooting and minor equipment repair.
• Preventive maintenance and lock‑out/tag‑out safety practices.
• Inventory management of spare parts and materials.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) concepts.
