Backend Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our distributed team on a contract basis. You will work remotely, designing and building high‑performance backend and frontend components while collaborating closely with Agile squads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise backend and frontend systems using Java, JavaScript, and Python.
• Develop and integrate secure RESTful APIs for data exchange across distributed services.
• Model, query, and maintain SQL databases to ensure scalability and performance.
• Champion clean‑code practices, write unit tests, and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software and system issues quickly.

Required profile

• Minimum experience in software engineering with strong expertise in Java, JavaScript, and Python.
• In‑depth knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and object‑oriented programming.
• Proficiency with SQL databases, API integrations, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid experience with Git, version‑control workflows, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong background in CI/CD, unit testing, debugging, and writing maintainable code.
