Automotive Parts Advisor

About the role

Dueck Auto Group is seeking a professional Parts Advisor to provide expert assistance to customers and support the parts department across multiple Vancouver locations. The role involves answering inquiries, processing orders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of automotive parts and accessories. Reporting to the Parts Manager, the advisor will work closely with technicians and other departments to uphold high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to customers in person and over the phone, explaining parts, accessories and current specials.
• Receive payments and provide labour estimates when required.
• Assist with routine inventory counts and restocking activities.
• Source and place accurate parts orders for customers, technicians and stock.
• Monitor order status to ensure timely delivery and communicate updates across departments.
• Handle elevated customer issues until resolved, maintaining high satisfaction levels.
• Maintain detailed records of delivery pick‑ups.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as an automotive parts advisor.
• Strong preference for General Motors (GM) experience and prior dealership background.
• Familiarity with aftermarket parts and accessories.
• Commitment to continuous learning of product knowledge and industry trends.

Required skills

• General Motors (GM) parts knowledge.
• Dealership operations experience.
• Knowledge of aftermarket parts and accessories.
• Experience using Collision Link software.
