About the role
We are looking for a Quality Engineer specialized in test automation to join our team for a 6‑8 month contract. The role is hybrid, requiring two days per week onsite, and focuses on API and microservices testing using Java.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute functional and automated test cases for APIs and microservices.
- Develop automation scripts with Java and Rest Assured.
- Implement a BDD framework using Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Validate event‑driven workflows such as Kafka or MQ messages.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements.
- Maintain high‑quality delivery through continuous testing and CI/CD integration.
Required profile
- 6–8 years of experience in quality engineering or test automation.
- Strong background in API testing, preferably with Rest Assured.
- Proficiency in Java for automation scripting.
- Hands‑on experience with BDD tools like Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Experience testing microservices architectures.
