Assistant Store Manager – Retail Leadership Role

About the role

Dulux Paints, a division of The Pittsburgh Paints Company, is seeking a motivated Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations and step in for the Store Manager when needed. This full‑time position offers a clear career path toward store leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close a high‑volume retail branch according to schedule.
• Assist customers with paint selection, colour matching, and product advice.
• Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory accuracy.
• Handle daily cash deposits and oversee cash handling procedures.
• Lead and coach team members during the manager’s absence.
• Lift, move, and store products safely, adhering to safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of customer‑service experience, preferably in retail or commercial settings.
• Flexible availability for evenings and weekends.
• Ability to understand and act on key performance indicators.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lb periodically and 50 lb regularly.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship.
