Assistant Safety Manager – Corporate EHSQ Coordinator

About the role

Surespan Group is seeking an Assistant Safety Manager to support the Corporate Health & Safety Manager. This position will help ensure that projects across the organization meet environmental, health, safety, and quality standards while maintaining workforce readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate workplace injury and illness claims, support return‑to‑work programs, and maintain accurate claim records.
• Manage employee onboarding, training matrices, certification expiries, and pre‑access requirements such as drug testing and fit testing.
• Assist with employee scheduling, workforce deployment, project startup documentation, and mobilization activities.
• Facilitate communication between operations, project teams, and field personnel to ensure compliance.
• Administer BIS Safety Software, maintain digital records, and support related business processes.

Required profile

• Strong communicator who can interact effectively with craft labor, site leadership, and senior management.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced construction environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow in health, safety, and compliance functions.
