Assistant Project Coordinator – Research Support

About the role

The Assistant Project Coordinator will support a national emergency‑department opioid overdose prevention study managed by the UBC Department of Emergency Medicine. This role ensures the EMED study progresses on schedule, adheres to protocols, and delivers high‑quality data.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all activities related to the EMED study.
• Translate study protocols into actionable tasks for the research team.
• Monitor study processes and develop systematic methods for data collection.
• Track study progress, generate regular status reports, and assist with financial management of research accounts.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and quality‑control standards.

Required profile

• Experience in coordinating research projects or clinical studies.
• Familiarity with research protocols, data‑collection procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Ability to manage timelines, budgets, and documentation accurately.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
