Area Director – Retail Store Management

About the role

Simons is seeking an experienced Area Director to join the senior management team of one of its flagship stores. The role combines leadership, visual merchandising, and customer‑service excellence to uphold Simons’ reputation for accessible, inspired fashion.

Key responsibilities

• Train, supervise, and develop service and merchandising managers.
• Plan and manage staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage.
• Implement and maintain Simons’ merchandising and visual presentation standards.
• Oversee discounts, promotions, price signage, and inventory control.
• Model and promote the highest level of customer service throughout the store.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a problem‑solving mindset.
• Adaptability to a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Excellent teaching and coaching skills to build a competent team.
• Passion for fashion and customer service.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in product marketing, visual presentation, scheduling, and team supervision in a fashion retail setting (major asset).
• Fluency in the official language of the store’s province (French for Quebec; English for other provinces).
