Alarm Operator – Day Shift

About the role

Join a fast‑paced Emergency Response Center in Victoria as a Day‑Shift Alarm Operator. You will provide real‑time support to clients across Canada, handling emergency calls and coordinating response actions while enjoying flexible shift selection.

Key responsibilities

• Answer emergency calls with calm, professional customer service.
• Listen actively, capture critical information, and log details into the computer system.
• Coordinate and dispatch appropriate response teams based on the situation.
• Maintain composure under high‑pressure conditions and adapt quickly to changing scenarios.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless incident management.

Required profile

• Ability to stay calm and provide clear direction during emergencies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
• Good mental flexibility, situational awareness, and teamwork orientation.
• Availability to work days (Monday‑Sunday, 8 am‑4 pm EST) with weekend coverage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
