Senior Security Engineer

About the role

Cohere is a security‑first enterprise AI company building foundation models and end‑to‑end products for real‑world business problems. As a Senior Security Engineer you will lead security operations and embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security operation functions such as vulnerability management, SAST, DAST, detection engineering and incident response in CI/CD and cloud‑native production environments.
• Integrate security into applications across the software development lifecycle and collaborate with product and development teams.
• Drive and support the bug bounty program, application security reviews, threat modeling, code review and dynamic testing.
• Assess, integrate and automate security tools, evaluating open‑source versus vendor solutions.
• Gather and analyze security metrics to address cross‑team dependencies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Application/Product Security or Security Operations with a focus on security tool onboarding and optimization.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management, network security, cloud security concepts and industry best practices.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity, making informed decisions with limited data, and balancing build‑vs‑buy trade‑offs.
