About the role
The Faculty of Applied Science is undergoing a major transformation and needs a dedicated professional to support the Department of Mechanical Engineering. This temporary, full‑time role provides advising, registration, and coordination services for both undergraduate and graduate students.
Key responsibilities
- Provide academic advising and registration support for students in the B.A.Sc, M.A.Sc and Ph.D programs.
- Coordinate timetabling, course scheduling, and classroom bookings for the Mechanical Engineering department.
- Process graduate and undergraduate admissions, manage concession requests, and conduct graduation checks and adjudication.
- Organize and support student‑focused events, outreach activities, and recruitment fairs.
Required profile
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction while collaborating with faculty, staff and external partners.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet departmental needs.
- Strong knowledge of university policies, registration procedures and student support services.
