Accountant

About the role

BIMM, a Toronto‑based agency at the crossroads of data, technology and creativity, is looking for an Accountant to join its Finance team. The role supports the Controller and works closely with the Administration team, covering finance, human resources and operations initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage client budget control reports and lead related meetings.
• Execute accounts receivable functions and serve as backup for accounts payable, credit‑card reconciliations and expense approvals.
• Assist with timesheet processing, docket management and internal control enforcement.
• Maintain the integrity of financial schedules and act as backup for the Junior Accountant during month‑end close.
• Lead inter‑company reconciliation and represent BIMM in related matters.
• Compile month‑end reporting packages and support audit documentation requests.
• Prepare and file monthly HST and federal tax returns.
• Support ERP system management, maintenance and ad‑hoc finance reporting.

Required profile

• Enrollment in the CPA Canada program (mandatory).
• At least 4 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• University degree in business.
• Prior agency experience preferred.
• Highly organized with strong integrity and communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel capabilities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
