Accountant – Full Cycle & Payroll

About the role

Vista by Virtus is seeking a motivated Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurs, non‑profits, and specialized professionals. You will work in a paperless, technology‑enabled environment, helping clients achieve financial clarity while growing your own expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting, including the general ledger for accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll.
• Execute end‑to‑end payroll processing for multiple clients.
• Perform bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Prepare and calculate GST, PST, T4s, T5s, and ROEs.
• Participate in month‑end close activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce (accounting major) or a Diploma in Accounting.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience.
• Enthusiasm for a fast‑paced, supportive team environment.
• Willingness to work with a variety of client industries.
• Comfort with adopting financial technology tools.
