Technician I – Structured Cabling

About the role

We are seeking a low‑voltage Technician I to install and service structured cabling and related network infrastructure for data, audio‑visual, and CCTV systems. The role involves interpreting blueprints, following bills of materials, and delivering installations that meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, test, and document Cat5/6 and fiber‑optic cabling according to specifications.
• Install network racks, cabinets, and patch panels in server rooms and other environments.
• Deploy low‑voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, AV, wireless, unified communications, nurse call, and RTLS.
• Interact professionally with customers and prospects, handling inquiries and providing service.
• Adhere to Bosch Building Technologies’ quality, safety, and OHS programs.
• Complete accurate documentation, including as‑built drawings, test results, and checklists.
• Travel to job sites and work overtime on an ad‑hoc basis as required.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in integrated security or low‑voltage installations.
• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lb.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Bondable and able to pass a background check.

Required skills

• Pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5/6 cabling.
• Fiber‑optic cable installation and testing.
• Rack and cabinet installation.
• Installation of CCTV, access control, AV, wireless, unified communications, nurse call, and RTLS systems.
• Use of hand and power tools in compliance with safety standards.
