Supply Chain Manager – Mining (Vancouver)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the end‑to‑end supply chain for an established mining operation in the Vancouver area. The role will be pivotal in optimizing both operating and capital cost structures while ensuring safety and efficiency across procurement, logistics and warehousing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and enforce safety standards, procedures and systems.
• Lead and develop the Supply Chain team, covering purchasing, warehousing, inventory and contracts administration.
• Design, implement and continuously improve warehouse, logistics and procurement processes.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with the company’s delegation of authority policy.
• Align Supply Chain objectives with overall company goals and manage the Supply Chain budget.
• Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support business objectives.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers; manage supplier relationships and performance.
• Create and monitor KPIs to measure supply chain performance and mitigate risks.
• Oversee contract administration and resolve contract‑related issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Business or a related field.
• Professional certification in Procurement, Supply, Logistics or Inventory (advantageous).
• 10+ years of senior‑level supply chain and material management experience in a mining environment, preferably on a startup project.
• Extensive experience with ERP, purchasing and inventory platforms.
• Proven track record of leading teams and managing people.
• Strong commitment to a safe working environment.
