Splunk Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Splunk Engineer to join our team on a 6‑month remote contract. The role focuses on implementing and optimizing Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) solutions to provide actionable insights into IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement best practices for user authentication, access controls, and data encryption in Splunk.
• Design, deploy, and fine‑tune ITSI solutions, including notable event aggregation policies, service templates, entities, services, and KPIs.
• Develop advanced analytics such as anomaly detection and predictive analytics within ITSI.
• Create custom scripts and automation workflows to streamline Splunk administration tasks.
• Monitor Splunk infrastructure performance, proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot configuration, performance, and data ingestion problems for Splunk and ITSI.
• Provide recommendations to improve reliability and performance.
• Integrate Splunk with diverse data sources and ensure CIM compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Preferably Splunk Certified Admin.
• Proven experience as a Splunk administrator with a focus on ITSI.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of IT operations, networking, systems administration and security.
