Sessional Lecturer – Innovation and Entrepreneurship

About the role

The Faculty of Arts & Science, Department of Economics at the University of Toronto seeks a Sessional Lecturer to teach an intensive five‑day course on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The course blends hands‑on startup development with AI tools, preparing students to prototype, validate, and pitch real‑world ventures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver daily lectures for a 36‑student class.
• Design, supervise, and grade tests and examinations in line with university regulations.
• Provide scheduled office hours for academic counseling and student support.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Industry experience in innovation, artificial intelligence, and the startup ecosystem.
• Prior experience teaching this or a similar course at the university level.
• Ability to manage and engage large classroom settings.
