About the role
The Faculty of Arts & Science, Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto seeks a Sessional Lecturer to teach CSC308H1F – Technology Leadership for the Fall 2026 term. This part‑time appointment (equivalent to a 0.5 FCE) involves delivering in‑person lectures and workshops to a cohort of approximately 30 students.
Key responsibilities
- Recruit and engage an industry partner to provide a real‑world problem domain for student projects.
- Maintain the partnership throughout the semester, ensuring alignment with course objectives.
- Design and lead interactive lessons and workshops covering corporate strategy, market analysis, financial documents, contract negotiation, equity financing, B2B/B2C software markets, and effective communication.
- Supervise and mentor student teams as they develop solutions in collaboration with the industry partner.
- Assess student performance and provide feedback.
Required profile
- Graduate degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in technology leadership topics covered by the course.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
