Senior Bookkeeper – Manufacturing (Waterloo, ON)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join a manufacturing client in Waterloo, ON. The successful candidate will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations and support overall office administration, ensuring accurate financial records and smooth payroll processing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and customer/vendor setup.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and month‑end adjustments.
• Perform bank, credit‑card, and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and cash‑flow reports.
• Process payroll and related remittances accurately and on time.
• File HST returns and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Prepare year‑end working papers and coordinate with external accountants for financial statements and tax returns.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with cash‑flow management, payment processing, and variance analysis.
• Support management with ad‑hoc financial reporting and analysis.
• Coordinate travel arrangements, process expense reports, and handle office supply procurement.
• Assist with health & safety administration and organize office events.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a small public accounting firm or an owner‑managed business handling full‑cycle bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of full‑cycle accounting, month‑end processes, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Dependable, hands‑on, and comfortable in a long‑term bookkeeping role.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
