About the role
The Research Manager will lead and coordinate the multi‑institutional project “QUS‑P: Quantitative Ultrasound of the Placenta,” a clinical study funded by ARPA‑H. This role supports high‑risk pregnancy research across UBC, the University of North Carolina, and BC Women’s Hospital.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and communicate research activities for the QUS‑P project.
- Develop, write, and implement study protocols and strategic work plans.
- Manage a budget exceeding USD 16 million and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Provide regular progress reports to ARPA‑H and achieve project deliverables.
- Oversee central management of research activities at multiple sites.
- Build and sustain relationships with investigators, clinicians, and external collaborators.
Required profile
- Exceptional organizational abilities and strong initiative.
- Motivation and enthusiasm for clinical trial development in high‑risk pregnancies.
- Experience managing large, multi‑partner research projects.
- Ability to coordinate across radiology, obstetrics, maternal‑fetal medicine, pathology, and epidemiology teams.
