Registered Nurse – Nursing Resource Team

About the role

The Nursing Resource Team (NRT) at University Health Network seeks Registered Nurses to provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent care across Toronto General and Toronto Western Hospitals. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, filling staffing gaps and supporting patient care in line with UHN’s professional practice model.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care that aligns with provincial legislation, professional standards, and UHN policies.
• Apply nursing science, theory, and critical decision‑making to meet patient needs.
• Maintain compliance with the College of Nurses of Ontario’s ethical framework.
• Engage in continuous education and reflective practice to improve care quality.
• Perform cross‑functional duties as assigned, including support for various hospital units.

Required profile

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (preferred).
• Eligibility for the New Graduate Guarantee (NGG) program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Flexibility to work any shift across both hospitals.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
