Reception Supervisor

About the role

The Reception Supervisor leads the front‑desk team at a Tidan hotel, ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Reporting to the Front Desk Director, you will manage check‑in/out processes, reservations, and special guest requests while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all reception activities, including guest check‑in, check‑out, reservations and special requests.
• Provide high‑quality customer service, address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Train, mentor and motivate reception staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and hotel policies.
• Create and manage work schedules, handle leaves and arrange replacements to guarantee coverage.
• Coordinate with other departments for seamless communication and issue resolution.
• Handle guest complaints proactively to achieve satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with security, confidentiality and procedural policies.
• Perform administrative duties such as reporting, record‑keeping and billing.
• Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming reception area.

Required profile

• College degree in hospitality (asset).
• Minimum 3 years of reception experience in a supervisory role.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage delicate situations.
• Strong leadership, team‑motivation and development skills.
• Detail‑oriented with solid organizational capabilities.
• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel management systems.
• Competence in standard computer tools.
