Part‑Time Grocery Clerk

About the role

Join the Metro team as a part‑time Grocery Clerk in Ottawa. You will help keep the store well‑stocked, clean, and welcoming while providing friendly assistance to shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and organise products in the backroom or cooler.
• Restock shelves, ensuring items are placed correctly and rotated using a first‑in, first‑out method.
• Maintain clean aisles, shelves, and store floors, sweeping, mopping, and promptly handling spills.
• Assist customers in locating products, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
• Help customers load groceries into their vehicles when needed.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts and report discrepancies or damaged items.
• Receive products, verify invoices, and set up promotional displays and end caps.
• Update signage and price tags as required.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about food and retail environments.
• Enjoy helping others and providing excellent customer service.
• Comfortable working flexible days, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic store setting.
