About the role
We are seeking an ethnic food cook to join our Mexican cuisine restaurant in Ottawa. The role involves preparing and cooking Mexican dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring food quality for all customers, including those with allergies.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and associated costs.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Order supplies and equipment and maintain inventory records.
- Clean kitchen and work areas and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen operations and supervise general cook staff.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
