Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician supports the daily physical operations of Rivn's commercial office buildings. Working closely with Building Operators and Property Managers, this hands‑on, mobile position handles minor repairs, general upkeep, tenant service requests, and operational support across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical trades.
• Complete painting, drywall repair, ceiling‑tile replacement, and hardware adjustments.
• Replace lighting fixtures, ballasts, and bulbs in common areas and tenant suites.
• Maintain building fabric, including doors, locks, hinges, and interior finishes.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior walkthroughs to identify deficiencies.
• Respond promptly to tenant service requests and communicate status to managers.
• Pick up and deliver parts and supplies; manage inventory of maintenance tools.
• Follow health‑and‑safety procedures, assist with fire drills, and handle chemicals in compliance with WHMIS.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a general trades role.
• Broad hands‑on skills across minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Ability to manage multiple work orders across several properties in a day.
• Professional demeanor with strong tenant and contractor interaction.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean record.
