Learning Facilitator – STEM Summer Program

About the role

The School of Continuing Studies is hiring six Learning Facilitators to support the three‑week Exploring the World of STEM summer program. You will guide and animate activities for high‑school students, ensuring a safe, engaging, and organized experience on campus and during off‑site excursions.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany students to workshops, labs, site visits, and extracurricular activities.
• Help students stay on schedule, remain attentive, and engage respectfully during transitions.
• Lead informal small‑group discussions after workshops.
• Assist with collaborative projects, presentations, and the final poster showcase.
• Support daily logistics, mentor participants, and act as a point of contact during outings.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled or recent graduate of McGill University or another university.
• Background or strong interest in a STEM‑related field.
• Experience working with high‑school students or in youth‑focused educational settings.
• Excellent communication, organization, punctuality, and adaptability.
• Comfortable interacting with international students.

Required skills

• Hourly wage of $18 (CAD) for up to 60 hours.
