Inspection Technician – Rocket Motor Hardware

About the role

Magellan Aerospace is seeking an Inspection Technician to ensure that rocket motor hardware components and chemical raw ingredients meet strict quality standards. You will work on the production floor, reviewing documentation and performing hands‑on inspections of incoming and in‑process parts.

Key responsibilities

• Review vendor documentation, including Certificates of Conformance and Certificates of Analysis.
• Inspect received hardware for workmanship, finish, and conformance to drawings using dimensional gauges.
• Measure parts with Vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
• Perform in‑process inspections according to written process instructions.
• Calibrate tools as required and communicate non‑conformances to Engineering and Laboratory staff.

Required profile

• Previous inspection experience in an aerospace or industrial environment (asset).
• Formal training in Inspection and Geometric Dimensioning.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, tolerances, and specifications.
• Basic arithmetic and strong written and verbal English communication.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Quality Inspector Certification – Red River or equivalent (asset).
• Meet visual acuity requirements specified in QSP 12.0.
