Human Resources Manager

About the role

Cybera, a not‑for‑profit technology agency in Calgary, is seeking a purpose‑driven Human Resources Manager to lead the full employee lifecycle and shape an inclusive, high‑performance hybrid culture.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the organization’s strategic plan into actionable HR initiatives, drive people‑first vision, and build succession plans.
• Lead and mentor the HR Generalist, oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits administration.
• Manage group benefits programs, maintain secure staff records, and ensure compliance with federal and Alberta employment standards.
• Leverage BambooHR and emerging AI solutions to automate workflows, draft policies and create templates.
• Design and execute professional development strategies, co‑chair culture and well‑being committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HR Management certificate (Chartered Professionals in HR designation a plus).
• 5+ years progressive HR experience, including managing operations for at least 30 employees.
• Strong knowledge of federal and Alberta labour legislation and HR compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar).
• Experience working in a Mac OS environment.
• Hands‑on experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS.
• Familiarity with AI tools and automation workflows for HR processes.
