Lead Employment Navigator

About the role

The Lead Employment Navigator builds and maintains relationships with employers willing to hire and support high‑risk individuals. Reporting to the Employment Hub Manager, the role leads a team of two Employment Navigators and two Employment Coaches and works closely with the Breakthrough and Employment Hub programs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and match suitable job opportunities with program participants.
• Educate employers about the program model and expectations for hiring high‑risk individuals.
• Support onboarding, workplace accommodations, and resolve employment‑related issues.
• Act as a liaison between employers, Employment Coaches, Employment Facilitators and participants.
• Maintain and expand a diverse network of employers to enable rapid re‑employment when job loss occurs.
• Provide regular reports and documentation on employer engagements and outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in employer engagement, job development or workforce services.
• Strong understanding of labour‑market dynamics and entry‑level employment pathways.
• Excellent relationship‑building, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to address employer concerns related to attendance, performance and accommodations.
• Experience working with marginalized or high‑risk populations is an asset.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
